Rally
Hosts: Hi there folks, K and I are here in Blair Park, Michigan volunteering at the Northwestern Michigan Fair Grounds campground. We found this facility while attending the old engine show in 2007. We thought it would be a good place for a rally with the Old Engine Show giving us a reason. The Old Engine Show had some 900+ restored tractors, assorted hit/miss engines, and various other curiosities including washing machine engine driven toys. It is a hoot for those of us that remember some of these things from our childhood. The rally would run from Wednesday through Sunday. The show runs from Thursday through Sunday. We will have a welcome dinner on Wednesday a fish fry on Friday evening and a potluck on Saturday. Breakfast and lunch will be on your own. Food is available on the show grounds. There is also a flea market selling anything and everything imaginable. Rally Hosts will be Ken & Anne Marie Wellock and Kay & Henry Hauffe. The campground is located in Blair Park about 7 (seven) miles North of Buckley. It has 50 amp electricity at every site with shared water spigots and a dump station. Rally dates are for August 2010 will be posted here when time gets closer. As of now they are for less than 15 units $20.00 per night, 15 to 24 units $17.00 per night, 25 + units $15.00 per night. Camping fees will be payable upon arrival. The rally fee as of now is $15.00 per rig. The rally is open to any and all members and their guests. Entry fees for The Old Engine Show are $10.00 daily or $25.00 for a four day pass payable at the gate. This may change as time gets closer to the rally date. Stay tune for more info...... |
